Snow-Bklyn Bio…

DJ Snow-bklyn’s is a soulful house DJ from New York who has his work listed on Soundcloud and Mixcloud sites.

In 1977, before cell phones or even pagers ever existed, my friend and I felt like truck drivers as we used our CB radios to communicate. As kids we admired the two drivers characters, Snowman and Midnight, from the 70s’ movie series, Smokey and The Bandit. Midnight, played by Burt Reynolds, was the car driver handle name that inspired my friend, Tyrone’s, nickname and old skate crew, The Midnight Rollers. In that skate crew, we went all over town to battle in intense skate tournaments. Snowman, played by Jerry Reed, was the handle name that inspired my childhood nickname and current DJ name. Just like the original characters, we were partners in adventure. That was when Snow, my DJ identity, was born.

About a decade later, in 1983, I experienced house for the first time when my ex-girlfriend brother,at that time. Put my friend and I on at the Paradise Garage club as his

guests. After that experience, I kicked off my skates and began my soulful house knowledge an understanding.

I have spent many years developing my craft as an Audio Visual Technician and as a DJ. Since 1994, I have been working with companies who manage events and production shows. My technician position comprises of working on events, like fashion week shows, and video production events, As far as playing as a DJ, I have been a resident DJ for Nightlife parties at Lox Lounge. Performed at, Club XL, LP & Harmony, and Franks Lounge. Cielo in NYC and Bar Muffin in and Monday channel in Japan.

Larry Levan and Timmy Regisford, have been very big, big inspirations in my life as soulful house DJs. They taught me how to keep my music fresh, exciting,

and new. Their way of feeling the crowd’s energy showed me how I could do the same to take that energy higher through the music.
